Zagreb is the capital of Croatia. Similar to other central European countries capitals it holds one-quarter of the population.

This makes Zagreb the city with over one million people living there. In the past Zagreb was made out of smaller communities, Kaptol, Gradec, Nova Ves. They have waged bloody wars between each other and became united in 1242. after the decree of the King Bela IV. As a reminder of those days glorious tales from the past remain, describing the events that unfolded the details about life in that period. Today Zagreb is the modern capital, with all of the legislation focused in it along developed industry, various museums, lively nightlife and fine restaurants in which you can get a taste of whole of Croatia.
